There’s an opportunity to stay overnight in Santa’s ‘cabin’ this year – with the festive abode now listed for free on Airbnb… that is if you’re lucky enough to win.
Guests can roll up their sleeves as budding elves to help with the 30,000 daily letters at Santa’s Post Office… all in the cozy comfort of Rovaniemi, Finland – the supposed birthplace of the jolly man himself.
For a truly immersive experience, guests will receive a crash course in ‘elfing’ from Chief Elf and Host Katja … going through the letters to cross-reference Santa’s naughty and nice list.
Other festive tasks include stamping mail with the special Arctic Circle stamp before it goes to Santa – but it’s not all hard work as it’s lots of elves, traditional Finnish meals, a snowmobile activity, a trip to the Northern Lights, and in true Finnish form… a sauna.
In short, Chief Elf and Airbnb host Katja say elves have been “working around the clock” to transform Santa’s cabin into a magical winter wonderland for visitors.
To embrace the holiday season from the Arctic Circle, the listing will be available for booking Airbnb on Monday, December 11. This is similar to a lottery, so everyone can participate and have a chance to win this fun trip.
The enchanting 3-night stay takes place from December 18 to 21… just in time for the holidays.
Return flights are offered for 2 adults and 2 children from London Heathrow to Rovaniemi, Finland. Season’s greetings, everyone!
