Weather in Britain: More than 150 flood warnings as well as heavy rain in Britain

Paddington

According to National Rail’s live departures board, there are currently a series of delays and cancellations at Paddington station.

A number of scheduled journeys to Penzance, Plymouth and Exeter St David’s have been cancelled, while trains to Abbey Wood, Swansea and Bristol Temple Meads are delayed.

This is largely due to flooding in Taunton and between Bristol Parkway and Swindon.

Euston

There are some cancellations on trains to Wrexham General, Crewe and Birmingham New Street, as well as minor delays on some journeys to Liverpool Lime Street, Manchester Piccadilly and Glasgow Central.

This is due to a signal error between Tamworth and Stafford.

Waterloo

A small number of trains to destinations including Portsmouth Harbour, Salisbury, Twickenham and Weymouth and Poole have been cancelled.

This is due to flooding between Salisbury and Exeter St David’s, and a damaged bridge between Brookwood and Woking.

Bee Victoria There has been disruption to Great Northern, Southern and Thameslink services due to a shortage of train staff.

There are currently no major delays at King’s Cross, Liverpool Street or Marylebone stations.

Strike action has been announced by the ASLEF Union for C2C and Greater Anglia services (including Stansted Express) tomorrow.

In addition, the ASLEF trade union has introduced an overtime ban on many lines until Saturday, December 9.
