Lucky Lotto player becomes Ireland’s newest millionaire after winning the top prize

A LUCKY Lotto player has become Ireland’s newest millionaire after scooping a life-changing top prize.

National Lottery chiefs confirmed a player bagged an eye-watering €1million prize when the lucky numbers were revealed.

The winning Daily Million numbers drawn tonight were 2, 15, 25, 32, 33 and 35.

The bonus ball drawn was 26.

Players are urged to check their tickets to see if they have won the significant prize.

The Daily Million Plus numbers drawn tonight for the €500,000 prize were 3, 24, 26, 30, 36, 37 and the bonus ball was 21.

Unfortunately, there was no winning ticket for the €500,000 prize.

Elsewhere, there was celebration at Lotto headquarters earlier this week as two separate syndicates claimed prizes of almost €4 million.

A Dublin syndicate who won more than €3.8 million in Wednesday October 4’s draw were delighted to receive their check after winning the life-changing sum two weeks ago.

The jackpot winners bought their ticket from the Spar store at 13 South Circular Road in Dublin 8.

And they admitted it didn’t take long for them to realize their luck on the night of the draw.

They said: “I was watching the draw as it was happening and just knew these were our numbers that had come out.

‘The numbers don’t have any special meaning, to be honest, but I just knew they were ours.

‘MIX OF EMOTIONS’

“We checked our ticket straight away and it was a real mix of emotions, from excitement to being completely overwhelmed. There’s just nothing that can prepare you for that.

“At the time we didn’t even know the exact amount of the jackpot, or of course that there was another winner in Dublin with the same numbers we shared the prize with!”

After getting through the initial shock, the group started calling their families.

They said: “When we got together, we decided to FaceTime family members to let them know.

‘EXCITEMENT TOOK OVER’

“I think they certainly thought we were about to tell them bad news, so when we finally said we had won the Lotto, the excitement took over and we all jumped around.

“I truly believe that what is meant for you will not pass you by, but yet this is so surreal.”

The syndicate plans to take their time before deciding how to put their winnings to good use.

Elsewhere, a syndicate from Laois also made the trip to Lotto headquarters to collect their €100,000 top prize, which they won with a €5 Money Multiplier scratch card.
