Lotto bosses provide major update after lucky punter wins life-changing €1million prize

LOTTO bosses have revealed that a lucky online Daily Million player is celebrating after scooping €1million last night at 9pm.

The winning numbers in Thursday’s draw were: 03, 05, 21, 25, 27, 33 and the bonus was 26.

The National Lottery has sent a notification to the user’s online account.

And a separate email has now been sent to the lucky Rebel County ticket holder.

Thursday’s Daily Million win marks the ninth major prize win of the year so far, following victories by players in Dublin, 2, Tipperary, Donegal, Kildare, 2, Limerick and Monaghan.

Meanwhile, Saturday evening’s Lotto draw will see players win even bigger prizes than usual, with the National Lottery adding €1 million to the Lotto Plus Raffle prize money.

The Lotto Plus Raffle usually sees around 60 to 120 €500 winners in each draw, but on Saturday evening players are ready for a boost in their winnings.

By topping up the lottery prize money with €1 million, all Lotto Plus Lottery winners will take home the usual prize of €500 PLUS, sharing an additional €1 million between them.

The National Lottery is reminding players to buy their tickets before the 7.45pm cut-off time for tomorrow’s sale.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “An online player in Cork is sure to be celebrating today after becoming Ireland’s newest millionaire.

“The Rebel County player won the €1 million top prize in Thursday’s Daily Million draw at 9pm and has now become the ninth top prize winner we’ve seen in the game so far this year.

“We encourage all our online players in Cork to check their accounts very carefully today.

“For Lotto players who dream of becoming big winners this weekend, the Lotto jackpot will be an estimated €5 million.

“This Saturday’s draw also marks the fourth Lotto Plus Raffle promotion of 2023 and promises players will win even bigger prizes than usual.

“With an additional €1 million in the Lotto Plus Raffle prize fund, all Lotto Plus Raffle winners will take home the usual prize of €500, plus €1 million shared between them.

“We predict that each winner will receive between €8,000 and €12,500, depending on the number of winners.

“Remember, tickets can be purchased nationally in stores, via the National Lottery app and at www.lottery.ie before the 7.45pm cut-off time for Saturday evening sales.”

And Lotto bosses are also urging punters to double-check their old tickets carefully as a player has just days left to claim a €1,000,500 prize.

A Monaghan player scooped the life-changing prize during a special Lotto Plus Raffle draw event held last August.

They purchased their winning Quick Pick ticket from Williams & Moran Centers on Main Street in Emyvale, Co. on Thursday, August 17. Monaghan.

The winning ticket number for the draw on Saturday August 19 was: 3249.

Each of the tickets with the winning Lotto Plus Raffle number drawn in the draw was entered into a one-off random draw where one ticket was selected to win an additional €1 million prize.

While each ticket holder with the winning ticket number won €500, one player won €1 million, in addition to the usual prize of €500.

Since ticket holders have 90 days from the draw date to claim their prizes, the last date to claim this amazing amount is fast approaching.

The deadline for claiming closes on Friday, November 17.
