Tom Holland not sure if he’ll ever play Spider-Man again. Collider reported that the 27-year-old actor discussed at a recent Critics Choice Association press conference what it would take to return to the role of Peter Parker, which he last played in the 2021 film Spider-Man: No way home.
“All I can say is that we have been actively having conversations about what it could potentially look like for a fourth portrayal of my character,” Holland said. “Whether we can find a way to do justice to the character is another matter.”
“I feel very protective of Spider-Man. I feel very lucky that we were able to work on a franchise that got better with every movie, that got more successful with every movie, which I think is really rare, and I want to be legacy,” he added. “So I won’t make another one just to make another one. It’s going to have to be worth it for the character.”
With all that in mind, Holland said, “If we can find out, I’d be a fool not to put the suit back on because I owe everything to Spider-Man.”
“I love the character and the people I get to work with,” he said. “So I would like to tell another story, but I will only tell it if we can find the right one.”
One of the people Holland works with is his real girlfriend, Zendaya, who plays MJ in the films. The couple recently showed a rare PDAshortly after Zendaya revealed why she prefers to keep her relationship private.
“Parts of my life, I accept, will become public. I can’t be anything other than a person and live my life and love the person I love. But I also have control over what I want to share,” she says . said inside from Elle September issue. “It’s about protecting the peace and letting it be your own, but also not being afraid to exist. You can’t hide. That’s not fun either. I’m navigating it now more than ever.”
