Super Bowl LVIII was the MOST WATCHED Super Bowl in the history of the game… with a whopping 123.4 MILLION fans tuning in to watch football, Taylor Swiftor both!
CBS and the National Football League just praised the ridiculous rating and announced that the Chiefs vs. 49ers game the Chiefs vs. Last year’s Eagles game (115.1 million) has replaced it as the most-watched game of all time.
It wasn’t even close… with 120 million viewers on television and the rest on other platforms. According to the network, more than 200 million people watched at least part of the game.
It’s no surprise considering Swift’s proximity to the game. The Super Bowl, pop star or not, is always the biggest night on American television. Fold in the biggest star in the world… perfect ratings storm.
FYI: Super Bowls make up 8 of the 10 most-watched TV shows in history.
The ratings were also helped by the superstars who starred in the game… Patrick Mahomes, Travis KelceChristian McCaffrey, etc. — and stars are a big factor when it comes to ratings.
Guard also put on a great halftime show…which probably brought in a lot of viewers.
Swift’s impact on the NFL has been significant…as has Commissioner Roger Goodell allowed in the days before the competition. How big is the impact she has had? TS has reportedly earned the Chiefs and the league more than $330 million in free coverage.
That’s reflected in a huge boost for the Chiefs fanbase and a huge rise in popularity for Kelce… and you can now add the most-watched Super Bowl ever to the list.
