Some of Bad bunny‘s fans may complain about paying astronomical prices to see him live, but he is a mega-producer of Latin music Heaven Rompiendo says true fans always find a way… and he speaks from experience.
TMZ Hip Hop caught up with Sky in New York where he was celebrating the release of his own new music – more on that later – but he immediately put himself in the fans’ shoes when we asked about the buzz about Benito’s new tour.
Presales for his “Most Wanted” tour opened this week, and critics are complaining about nosebleed seats reportedly costing $150 to $250, while everything on the low end costs $1,000… depending on the city. And that’s on Ticketmaster, not scalping sites!
Sky acknowledged that the prices may have been high, but added… since he was a kid “if I like an artist I will do whatever it takes to see them.” The bottom line for him: true fans always find a way. Plus, he added, Bad Bunny does “whatever he wants” … quoting his ‘SNL’ monologue.
Sky was in New York to release his new single ‘Crush’ Archangel And Dei V. On Thursday evening he threw a release party at Sei Less in Manhattan, where he… Fat Joe came along to offer the Colombian superstar some motivation.
After producing hits with Benito, among others, J Balvin, Carol G And Raw Alejandro …Sky knows the genre is bigger than ever, and that means the top touring artists can demand the highest money – just like Taylor Swift, Beyoncé or Drake.
And speaking of Drizzy, we asked Sky about Drake dabbling in reggaeton on his latest album – and he was all about it. In fact, it sounds like he’s throwing his production hat in the ring for a future collaboration.
