Reba McEntire provided a stunning rendition of the national anthem on Sunday Super Bowl LVIIIwhich brought the singer full circle.
The 68-year-old country singer and actress took to the field in black glitter pants and a beige blazer to perform her spectacular version of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” more than 50 years after she was discovered singing “The Star-Spangled.” . Banner” during the 1974 National Finals Rodeo in Oklahoma City.
In a nod to inclusivity, Reba was joined on stage by actor Daniel Durant, representative of the National Association of the Deaf (NAD), who provided the American Sign Language version of the song. Durant is best known for his role in the 2022 Academy Award-winning film CODA.
Earlier in the day, the “I’m a Survivor” singer showed off her game day fit on social media platform ig blue jacket.

Days before the performance, Reba opened up about her process when it came to preparing for her performance, telling reporters that she was practicing non-stop in all the places.
“I prepare by being prepared,” she says joked during the Apple Music Super Bowl halftime press conference before the big game. “I sang the national anthem in the shower when we got in the car.”
“Rex [Linn]my boyfriend, is a big football fan and played all sports when he went to school,” The voice coach continued. “And so he’ll say, ‘Okay, sing it again.’ I said, “I think I know the words really well now, so I’m doing fine.”
In a hilarious video posted to Instagram days before Super Bowl LVIII, Reba and Linn joked that he wants to compete in one of the hottest Prop Betting on the Super Bowl – guess the length of the anthem.
The country legend took to Instagram on Saturday and shared a video of her and Rex recreating a classic Friends scene from season 5,”The one everyone finds out about,” or as most amigos remember it – the one where “they don’t know that we know that they know that we know.”
Reba joked about Rex wanting in on the bet. She captioned the post: “If Rex wants to bet on the length of the anthem…”
