Mayim Bialik Says She Was Fired From Hosting ‘Jeopardy!’

Mayim Bialikit’s time Danger! it has come to an end. On Friday, the 48-year-old actress announced that she has been fired from the guest role.

“Now that the Hollywood holidays are starting, I have a few Danger! news,” Bialik began. “Sony has informed me that I will no longer be hosting the syndicated version of Danger!

“I am incredibly honored to be nominated for a Primetime Emmy for hosting this year,” she continued, “and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Danger! family.”

Bialik concluded her post by writing, “To all of you who have supported me through this incredible journey and to the fans, contestants, writers, staff and crew of America’s Favorite Quiz Show, thank you.”

Alex Trebekwho started hosting the show in 1984, died in November 2020 at the age of 80 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Then, in September 2021, Bialik and Ken Jennings were tapped to host the game show during the calendar year. The following summer, Bialik and Jennings were made permanent hosts by Danger!

In August 2023, announced the show that Jennings would take over from Bialik Celebrity Danger! hosting tasks.

Bialik previously thought about the Danger! performance, ET tell in April 2022: “It has changed my life in huge ways. My relatability and kind of familiarity that people feel with me is much greater, especially with such a nighttime show, when you are in a show that is always in fashion in the people’s living rooms or wherever they look.”
