Kourtney Kardashian wants new moms to take the time to get back to the gym.
Wednesday has the Kardashians star marked her return to working out with a video and some inspiring words.
In a clip shared to her Instagram Story, the Poosh founder encouraged new mom followers to take their time as they return to their fitness routine.
“7 weeks postpartum: first day at the gym, 30 minute walk 3.0, 12.0 incline, take it easy, no rush, no pressure. Mamas, your body is healing, it’s not a race,” wrote Kourtney.
Although you couldn’t see her face on screen, Kourtney’s feet moved steadily as she filmed the video.
Kourtney, 44, and her husband, Travis Barker 48, welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named Rocky Thirteen, on November 1.
Although the proud parents haven’t taken to Instagram to share their son’s face, they are living in baby bliss.
‘Kourtney and Travis are over the moon and couldn’t be happier to share a child together’ a source recently told ET. “Kourtney and Travis already had an unbreakable bond, but having a baby together has brought them even closer together and even more in love. This experience has deepened their sense that they were meant to be together.”
Kourtney shares children Mason, 14, Penelope, 11, and Reign, 9, with her ex, Scott Disick. Travis is the father of Alabama, 17, and Landon, 20, whom he shares with his ex-wife. Shanna Moakler. Him too helped raise Atiana De La HoyaMoakler’s 24-year-old daughter, whom she shares with her ex, Oscar De La Hoya.
Conceiving their child was a journey for Kourtney and Travis, who tied the knot in 2022. The couple went through several IVF routes before deciding to go the natural route. In September, Kourtney had to undergo fetal surgerya procedure she says saved her son’s life.
“As someone who has had three very easy pregnancies in the past, I was not prepared for the fear of rushing into fetal surgery,” she wrote on Instagram. “I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can understand that feeling of fear. I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mothers who had to fight for their babies during pregnancy. All praise is for God. Carrying my son in my belly and walking out of the hospital safely was the biggest blessing. 🙏🏼🤍.”
Shortly after Rocky’s birth, a source told ET that Kourtney and Travis “feel complete after the birth of their son.”
“The couple can’t stop smiling and expressing gratitude for their blessing,” the source continued. “The couple has been surrounded by love and their families have been there to support them as needed. Right now, the couple is trying to enjoy this time as they know it will pass quickly.”
