Kendall Jenner's 818 Tequila brand has caused a firestorm at Coachella — because a local bar owner claims her team ruined a beloved mural of theirs… even though we hear it's BS and we've seen the contract stating that they actively agreed to it and recognized the potential for harm.
A watering hole in Indio, CA called Club 5 Bar allowed Kendall and co. set up shop at their establishment last week for a pop-up attraction to plug 818…complete with a ton of custom sets and decorations…including a huge sticker-like sign on the outside.

It looks like they painted the 818 branding all over the wall, but that didn't happen. It's actually a separate piece that they stuck on the wall… and that's why the owner is angry now. You see, there's an AC/DC mural underneath that they recently installed, which he claims is now damaged due to the way the 818 team set up and left this whole thing.
Randy Franco – one of the owners of Club 5 – issued a blistering press release on Monday accusing Kendall's company of recklessly gluing this 818 vinyl piece to their mural and leaving it scuffed/chipped in the aftermath, reportedly without any attempt to restore it.
He tells TMZ that he and his partners gave 818 permission to use the wall and put up the 818 sign – but claims he asked them to put a protective layer under it so their bullshit wouldn't touch the wall/mural … which he claims they didn't do. Instead, Randy claims that the 818 team glued this sign to the mural… and when they removed it… a lot of the paint cracked off the OG mural underneath.

It is unclear exactly what he will do about it. Randy says he hasn't even contacted 818 directly about this yet… and says he's only spoken to the event coordinator (a third party, it seems), who he says expressed his frustration with the way this was handled .
The thing is, though… we're told by people with direct knowledge of the contracts signed and the emails exchanged about them that the Franco family had in fact taken care of the state of the place when the 818 team moved their stuff was packing. things late last week.
We've seen an email from Carmen Franco – Randy's mother and another co-owner of Club 5 – that shows she explicitly said the situation was good for her when they left.
The email states that she took a walk around the property and even specifically points out the mural – which Carmen appears to have said looked great. So our sources tell us that all the son's whining and whining makes little to no sense right now.
It seems that whatever issue they have will have to be addressed another time… and in a different way, perhaps even in court. We reached out to Kendall's camp…no word back.
