French Montana‘s flies privately, but his travel plans are still causing headaches… as he says authorities in Colombia searched his plane for narcotics.
The rapper says he tried to fly out of the South American country on Tuesday but was placed under house arrest at the airport while officers searched his plane for cocaine.
French posted a video of his encounter with police, and a handful of police officers are seen moving through the plane along with a drug-sniffing dog.
He keeps a cool head and even pets the K-9 in front of officers. He also proclaims his innocence… and says the police have the wrong idea about him.
Yes, he called his label (and mixtape series) Cokeboys, but French declares there is no contraband on his ride.
Despite the tough times in the Colombian police force, French says he still has love for the country… though he adds, “You don’t have to treat me like that!!!”
We’re guessing he was eventually cleared to take off — otherwise he wouldn’t have posted the video — but his latest IG story says, “I need bail!! 👀.”
