Cody says having someone as big as Beyoncé shine the spotlight on country music is a big deal, and he fully embraces it.
A turn to country seems to be a bit of a trend lately, as Cody reminds us of the hit rapper Jelly roll has gone back to his country roots — and while Cody isn’t sure Queen Bey’s foray into the country will translate to the masses, he thinks it’s super cool that she’s even trying.
Alan also notes that the music world tends to categorize artists, but it’s a genius move for Beyoncé to step off the beaten path because that’s usually where the best music is found.
Good music is ultimately good music, according to Alan, but he’s confident that Beyoncé kicking things off in cowboy boots will keep the Beyhive buzzing to new heights.
