Anti-immigration protests have taken place in a number of cities across the UK.
There have been many clashes with police and counter-protesters, automobiles have been set alight and buildings have been broken, though not all demonstrations turned violent.
In Hull, protesters chanted “cease the boats” outdoors a resort which homes asylum seekers.
The unrest started earlier within the week following misinformation surrounding the deadly stabbing of three younger women in Southport on Monday.
