Today was a DAY of celebration at Lotto headquarters as two separate syndicates claimed prizes of almost €4 million.
A Dublin syndicate who won more than €3.8 million in the draw on Wednesday, October 4, were delighted to receive their check after winning the life-changing sum two weeks ago.

The jackpot winners bought their ticket from the Spar store at 13 South Circular Road in Dublin 8.
And they admitted it didn’t take long for them to realize their luck on the night of the draw.
They said: “I was watching the draw as it was happening and just knew these were our numbers that had come out.
“To be honest, the numbers don’t have any special meaning, but I just knew they were ours.
“We checked our ticket immediately and it was a real mix of emotions, from excitement to being completely overwhelmed. There’s just nothing that can prepare you for that.
“At the time we didn’t even know the exact amount of the jackpot, or of course that there was another winner in Dublin with the same numbers we shared the prize with!”
After getting through the initial shock, the group started calling their families.
They said: “When we got together, we decided to FaceTime family members to let them know.

“I think they definitely thought we were about to tell them bad news, so when we finally said we had won the Lotto, the excitement took over and we all jumped around.
“I truly believe that what is meant for you will not pass you by, but yet this is so surreal.”
The syndicate plans to take their time before deciding how to put their winnings to good use.
“Now that the ticket is finally out of our hands and the check is in front of us, I feel like we can now actually receive it and think about what to do next,” they said.
“The first thing we will do is let the news sink in and think carefully about what we are going to do.”
€100,000 TOP PRICE
Elsewhere, a syndicate from Laois also made the trip to Lotto headquarters to collect their €100,000 top prize, which they won with a €5 Money Multiplier scratch card.
The winning scratch card was purchased from Maxol on Dublin Road in Portarlington.
The syndicate admitted they quickly called the National Lottery Prize claims team to confirm the win.
“I would say within half an hour of scratching the ticket I had the claims team on the phone to make sure I didn’t see anything,” they said.
“It’s just not something you expect to see at all, so you almost convince yourself it’s not real when it happens.”
They added: “Although any time of year is great to win, we had only been talking about Christmas and shopping the night before we won, so it certainly feels like perfect timing.”
