PADDY Morris has been waiting for a big Lotto win for 20 years – so €3,867,027 wasn’t a bad way to mark his first.
The owner of the Dublin 8 Spar store sold one of the two winning tickets for this week’s €7,734,054 jackpot, along with the Applegreen on Naul Road, Ballbriggan.
Delighted Paddy said: “In the 22 years I’ve owned the store, this is my first ever jackpot win so it’s very exciting.
“We are located in a busy residential area with many local customers, so it is absolutely great news for the region.
“Once word gets out, I’m sure there will be great excitement in the community.
“What a night to win our first jackpot too – a big night for Dublin Lotto players!”
The celebrations also started at the petrol station, a regional head Ashley Folder said: “This is great news for the local area and of course a very happy customer!
“The store is always buzzing, but excitement has skyrocketed since we heard the great news and it’s the main talking point with everyone.”
The Balbriggan petrol station and a corner shop in the heart of Dublin 8 have today been confirmed as sales locations for Wednesday night’s jackpot-winning tickets worth a whopping €3,867,027 each.
In the midweek Lotto draw, the two players shared the offered jackpot of €7,734,054.
The players have become the 10th and 11th Lotto jackpot winners of 2023 so far.
A Spar store at 13 South Circular Road in Dublin 8 was revealed as the city center location where a customer won his share of the life-changing prize.
The National Lottery has confirmed that both players have come forward to claim their prize.
