PEOPLE born on June 8 are the happiest in Britain when it comes to winning a bet, according to new data.

August 1 and December 1 are the next happiest birth dates, with the ages between 18 and 24 being the most successful generation.

The towns of Kirkby Stephen in Cumbria, Goodwick in Pembrokeshire and Ilminster in Somerset are home to the most fortunate people.

And Friday evening 9pm is the happiest time to place a bet, according to Lottoland.co.uk, which analyzed 12 months of betting data.

Customers named Archie and Vivian were the luckiest, while Vera, Candice, Laurie, Claudio and Chad were also very lucky.

After looking at data from UK customers who placed bets over the past twelve months, a ratio was created between winnings and total bets placed to see who and where had achieved the best results.

A Lottoland spokesperson, who collected the data ahead of Thursday’s US Powerball draw, said: “For the superstitious among us, we’ve been able to put together quite a profile of Lottoland’s happiest customers this year.

“If you happen to be a June baby, called Archie or Vivian and live in one of these charming places like Kirkby Stephen, you might just want to take advantage of your lucky traits and see if you can win some serious money.”
