Pamela Bradshaw was one of five people chosen for a chance to win the lottery as part of Powerball’s drawing for the year’s first millionaire.

Shortly after midnight, Ryan Seacrest belted out the winning song during Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rocking’ Eve show.
After hearing the happy news, Pamela fell to the ground, overcome with emotion.
She was helped back up by the host and her daughter Joanna Hinson as she tried to get up.
The winner then embraced Seacrest in a tight hug and even appeared to kiss him.
The host told her, “Pamela… first time here in New York City and you’ll walk away in the new year a millionaire.”
Still recovering from the excitement, she exclaimed, “Thank you God. I am so blessed. I am so blessed.”
The host then said that she promised to share some of her winnings with her daughter who was present on stage.
Pamela, along with four other participants, was flown from North Carolina to New York by lottery organizers.
Each finalist won a VIP trip for two people to participate in the draw in person.
They were randomly selected to participate in Powerball’s first Millionaire of the Year drawing after participating in the national Powerball promotion.
Pamela confessed that she had never been to New York before and that it was her first time flying on a plane.
But the momentous trip became even more special after he raised a million-dollar fund.
Now the new-found millionaire plans to buy a house with the prize money.
She said: ‘I would love to have my own home, which is mine and where I feel safe.
‘I can have my own house and fix it up nice and clean and feel safe. Nothing fancy or grand, just a little house or something with one or two bedrooms.”
