Meanwhile, the Lotto Plus 1 winner who won €1 million in this week’s Wednesday, September 27 draw claimed his top prize at Lotto HQ.

The winner, who bought his ticket from the Spar store in St Agnes Park in Crumlin, admitted he didn’t realize he had a winning ticket for almost a week after the draw.

MAP CHECK

They said: “It was the following Monday before I even thought about checking my ticket.

“I was getting something out of the car and saw my ticket there, so I decided to scan it via the app.

“At the time I didn’t even know a grand prize had been won, so I wasn’t expecting anything until the message ‘You won big!’ appeared on the screen.

“I then called the Claims department to see what it could be. When I heard that I had won €1 million, I was absolutely speechless. I definitely didn’t see that phone call happening like that!”

The Dublin winner plans to put his new-found fortune to good use.

They said: “Paying off my mortgage is at the top of the priority list. I can’t believe I’m in a position now to even be able to do that. It’s an absolute dream come true!”
