AN Irish Lotto player has won more than €334,000 in tonight’s Lotto draw.
The gambler matched five of the important numbers, plus the bonus ball.
There was no winner of the €4,170,027 jackpot tonight.
But more than 79,000 players walked away with a cash win.
The numbers in the main tournament were: 08, 24, 29, 37, 41, 42 and the bonus was 22.
One player matched five of the numbers and the bonus, netting him a nice €334,197.
There was no winner of the Lotto Plus 1 or Lotto Plus Two main prizes.
In the Lotto Plus 1, with a jackpot of €1 million, the numbers drawn were: 10, 25, 32, 39, 44, 45 and the bonus was 13.
In the Lotto Plus 2, with a jackpot of €250,000, the numbers drawn were: 07, 30, 36, 39, 42, 45 and the bonus was 25.
The winning lottery number tonight was 8171.
There were 77 lottery prize winners who received €500 each.
Elsewhere, Lotto chiefs have issued a warning to a punter who won a life-changing €1,000,500.
The player has just two weeks left to claim his prize.
The winner bagged the astonishing sum during a special Lotto Plus Raffle draw event held on Saturday, August 19.
They purchased their winning Quick Pick ticket from Williams & Moran Centers on Main Street in Emyvale, Co. on Thursday, August 17. Monaghan.
The winning ticket number for the draw on Saturday August 19 was: 3249.
Each of the tickets with the winning Lotto Plus Raffle number drawn in the draw was entered into a one-off random draw where one ticket was selected to win an additional €1 million prize.
While each ticket holder with the winning ticket number won €500, one player won €1 million, in addition to the usual prize of €500.
And with the lucky player failing to come forward, lotto bosses have warned the prize will expire in just 14 days.
A National Lottery spokesperson appealed to Lotto players who may have traveled through Monaghan in August or who live in the Emyvale area to urgently check their old tickets to avoid missing out on the staggering amount of money.
They said: “As we inch closer to the all-important deadline for claiming prizes, we are appealing to Lotto players across Ireland to check their old tickets as soon as possible from August.
“There is a player who purchased a ticket for the August 19 Lotto draw at Williams & Moran Centers on Main Street, Emyvale, who now has a prize worth €1,000,500 yet to claim.”
