Lotto players urged to check old tickets as gambler has days to collect €1 million prize

THE National Lottery is calling on punters to carefully check their old tickets again as a player has just days left to claim a €1,000,500 prize.

A Monaghan player scooped the life-changing prize during a special Lotto Plus Raffle draw event held last August.

The National Lottery continues to urge Lotto players in Monaghan to check their old tickets from Saturday 19 August

They purchased their winning Quick Pick ticket from Williams & Moran Centers on Main Street in Emyvale, Co. on Thursday, August 17. Monaghan.

The winning ticket number for the draw on Saturday August 19 was: 3249.

Each of the tickets with the winning Lotto Plus Raffle number drawn in the draw was entered into a one-off random draw where one ticket was selected to win an additional €1 million prize.

While each ticket holder with the winning ticket number won €500, one player won €1 million, in addition to the usual prize of €500.

Since ticket holders have 90 days from the draw date to claim their prizes, the last date to claim this amazing amount is fast approaching.

The deadline for claiming closes on Friday, November 17.

A Lotto spokesperson said: “We are keen to hear from the Monaghan player who won a life-changing prize in the special Lotto Plus lottery held on Saturday 19 August.

“The deadline to claim their €1,000,500 prize is now really getting closer, with just over a week to go until the last day to claim, which closes on Friday, November 17.”

“The all-important winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased from Williams & Moran Centers on Main Street in Emyvale on Thursday 17 August.

“The winning ticket holder could be someone local or perhaps even someone who was traveling through Monaghan and decided to drop by to purchase a ticket for their trip.

“We encourage our players to look everywhere, from old coats to handbags, so as not to miss this huge amount.

“The winner, who now has a ticket worth €1,000,500, is advised to contact our prize claims team as soon as possible on 1800 666 222 or email [email protected]. Arrangements will then be made to collect their life-changing prize at Lotto headquarters.

Earlier this week, a National Lottery player from Dublin won €2,000 a month for five years in the first EuroDreams draw.

The level two prize was won after the player matched six numbers in the draw.

The winning EuroDreams numbers in the draw on Monday 6 November were 10, 13, 14, 25, 30, 35 and the Dream number was 5.

A notification has been sent to the lucky user’s online account.

A spokesperson said: “What a way to start the week!

“An online player in Dublin had an unforgettable Monday evening after becoming the biggest winner in Ireland in the first ever EuroDreams draw.

“The online player matched 6 numbers and won the unique prize of €2,000 per month for 5 years.
