Lotto HQ issues urgent ‘check tickets’ warning to players after huge €1m win

THE National Lottery has issued an urgent warning to players to check their tickets carefully after a life-changing €1 million prize was won in the Dublin area.

Coolock, a Dublin 17 player, scooped the mouthwatering prize in Saturday’s Daily Millions Draw.

Lotto chiefs are yet to reveal the retail location where the winning ticket was purchased.

However, the winning numbers in the draw on Saturday at 2pm were: 3, 4, 24, 30, 32, 39 and the bonus number was 15.

The winner of the huge €1 million prize in Coolock has not yet come forward to claim his cash prize.

Lotto bosses are urging successful players to sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe.

The player has also been advised to contact the prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email the National Lottery claims team at [email protected].

Arrangements can then be made for the player to claim their incredible €1 million cash prize at Lotto HQ.

Meanwhile, a family syndicate recently visited Lotto’s headquarters to claim their Match 5 + Bonus prize, which was worth a whopping €334,197.

The Match 5+ Draw was won on Saturday, November 4, 2023.

The Family Syndicate winners purchased their tickets from the Centra store in the Northtown Shopping Center on Ennis Road in Co Limerick.

Speaking at Lotto headquarters, a spokesperson for the family said: “We had no idea a big prize had been won that night, let alone that we were the ones who won it!

“I checked some tickets the week after the draw and when I scanned them I got the message You won big.

“At that point I still had no idea what we had won, so I immediately called the claims team. I’m sure they knew I had no idea what we had won when they spoke to me because I was in total shock. .

‘Still hasn’t sunk in’

“I knew it had to be a big prize when I got the message, but I never thought it would be as big as it was.”

And after winning the incredible prize, the family admitted the news had “still not sunk in”.

“We’ve been thinking about it for a few weeks, but to be honest it doesn’t feel real.

“Once we do, our first plan will be to host a party over Christmas. It’s certainly not how we expected to end the year, but it’s certainly a welcome surprise!”
