Both players are set for a life-changing Christmas after scoring €1million each.

An online player in Co. Kilkenny matched all six numbers in the Lotto Plus 1 draw to take home the €1 million top prize.

The National Lottery has confirmed that a notification has now been sent to the user’s online account and a separate email to the lucky Kilkenny ticket holder.

The winning numbers in the Lotto Plus 1 draw were: 01, 02, 03, 11, 32, 35 and the bonus: 42.

There will also be celebrations today as a player from North County Dublin won the special ‘forgotten’ Lotto Plus Raffle prize of €1,000,500.

The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased from the AppleGreen store in Roundtower in Lusk in North County Dublin.

This special €1 million lottery prize was returned to players after a ticket holder in Monaghan missed a prize claim for a €1,000,500 Lotto Plus lottery prize last November, which they won on Saturday 19.eAugust.

The Lotto Plus Raffle normally sees between 60 and 120 winners of €500 in each draw, but in last night’s draw ONE player from Dublin enjoyed an even bigger windfall thanks to a special lottery event.

Each of the tickets with the winning Lotto Plus Raffle number drawn in the draw was entered into a one-off random draw where one ticket was selected to win an additional €1 million prize.

While each ticket holder with the winning ticket number won €500, one player won €1 million, in addition to the usual prize of €500.

The winning lottery number was: 9652.

Although there were a whopping 119,000 prize winners in Saturday’s fantastic Lotto draw, there was no winner of the €9.8 million jackpot on offer, which is estimated to be €10.2 million next Wednesday.

In a statement this afternoon, Lotto bosses urged all players to check their tickets to ensure they can redeem their prize after Christmas.

A spokesperson said: “The National Lottery is advising all major prize winners over the festive period to sign the back of their winning tickets and keep them safe.

“They should contact the National Lottery Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 or email [email protected] and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prize early in the new year.”

Elsewhere, lotto bosses revealed the location of a winning EuroMillions ticket worth a whopping €500,000.

A EuroMillions player in Millstreet in Co Cork will kick off his festive celebrations in style after winning the €500,000 top prize in Friday night’s EuroMillions Plus draw.

The winning numbers in last night’s EuroMillions Plus draw were: 04, 15, 29, 32, 36.

The Rebel County player became Ireland’s biggest EuroMillions winner on the night after purchasing his Quick Pick ticket on the day of the draw at O’Keeffe’s SuperValu in Millstreet, Co. Cork.

This is the second time a customer at the local SuperValu store has won the EuroMillions Plus top prize, after another player won the same €500,000 prize in May 2013.
