Irish Lotto player wins HUGE sum as location and winning numbers are announced

There is a CELEBRATION for one Lotto player tonight after he managed to win the top prize in the Lotto Plus 2 draw.

The Limerick gambler will take home a mega €250,000 after matching six numbers and the bonus ball.

Lotto bosses have urged all players who bought a ticket in the Treaty Region to check whether they were the lucky winner.

And the lucky numbers in question are: 3, 7, 12, 29, 37, 43 and bonus ball 38.

Although it has been confirmed that the ticket was sold somewhere in Limerick, it is not yet known exactly where. The store that sold the ticket is expected to be revealed sometime this week.

There was no winner of the Lotto jackpot worth a life-changing €7,564,749, but more than 68,000 players won prizes in the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws.

The winning numbers in the main draw were 3, 24, 29, 31, 38 and 40 with bonus number 13.

In the Lotto Plus 1 draw, which was worth a whopping €1,000,000, the lucky numbers were 18, 23, 26, 29, 31, 36 and the lucky bonus 28.

The jackpot in the main draw will now roll over to a massive €8,000,000 on Saturday evening.

So far this year, the Lotto jackpot has been won twelve times in eight provinces.

Major prizes include two players in Limerick, four in Dublin and one by punters in Meath, Donegal, Westmeath, Louth, Leitrim and Laois.

Meanwhile, the Euromillions is set to hit an unfathomable €240 MILLION for Friday night’s draw.

If this astonishing amount is won in Ireland, it would increase the total number of Irish EuroMillions jackpot winners to 18 since the game began in Ireland in 2004.

The most recent Irish EuroMillions jackpot win was in February 2022 when a family in Clare scooped €30.09 million on a Quick Pick ticket purchased at Larkin’s Gala Service Station in Ballina, Co. Tipperary.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “What a week this could be for National Lottery players!

“With not just one but two huge sums to play for, the excitement is growing for the EuroMillions and Lotto games.”

‘HUGE JACKPOTS’

The spokesperson added: “With two huge jackpots on offer, we’re reminding players hoping to take part in this week’s big winners roll call that tickets can be purchased in store, via the National Lottery app or online .”

In addition, a Lotto player in Portlaoise in Co. matched. Laois five numbers and the bonus ball in the main Lotto draw to win a whopping €263,058 on Saturday, November 25.

The winning numbers were: 13, 17, 21, 22, 37, 42 and the bonus was 02.

This lucky Laois player is now celebrating after purchasing his winning Quick Pick ticket on the day of the draw at the Maxol petrol station on Dublin Road in Portlaoise Town, Co. Laois.
