THE Luck of the Irish was tonight when one punter managed to land the top prize in tonight’s EuroMillions Plus draw.
National Lottery chiefs confirmed the €500,000 top prize had been scooped – and revealed where in the country the lucky ticket was being sold.

The winning EuroMillions Plus numbers drawn were 8, 9, 14, 27 and 42.
Lotto bosses have revealed the winning ticket has been sold in Mayo.
Gamblers are being urged to check their tickets to see if they have won the big prize.
Another 49 players won €2,000, and some 32,015 won €20 in the draw.
The main EuroMillions draw, worth €67,318,140, was won by a player in Portugal.
The numbers drawn were 10, 17, 20, 35, 40 and the lucky stars were 3 and 4.
In total, more than 39,000 players in Ireland won prizes in the EuroMillions and Plus games.
Meanwhile, celebrations are underway at a family-run petrol station in Wexford following the sale of the €1million top prize in last Saturday’s Lotto Plus 1 draw.

The winner, who bought his life-changing Lotto ticket from Maxol Killeens on Newline Road in Wexford Town, has contacted Lotto head office.
Arrangements are now being made for them to collect their prize when they officially become the 33rd National Lottery millionaire of 2023.
Tony and Sarah Butler, who run the shop, were thrilled when they discovered they had sold the life-changing winning ticket.
They said: “It’s just great for absolutely everyone in the community.
‘Cherry on the cake’
“For us it is particularly nice because the company has been part of our family for more than 30 years and achieving a big lottery win for one of our customers is just the icing on the cake.
“We believe the winner has already been contacted, so whoever they are, I know the entire local community will wish them the best of luck with their new-found fortune.”
Elsewhere today, a Dublin syndicate, who won more than €3.8 million in the Lotto main draw on Wednesday 4 October, were happy to receive their cheque.
