A MAN paid out £50 on £5 scratch cards to see how much money he would win.
Josh Ryan previously went viral online after blowing the money in an attempt to win at McDonald’s Monopoly.

Now he has decided to try his luck with a selection of scratch cards…
In a clip shared on TikTok (@joshryanx), he begins: “As you can see, the clip I bought today is super simple.
“All I have to do is find this winning number and match it with one of these – very simple. It’s one in three that wins.”
Josh goes on to explain that because he bought 10 scratch cards, the odds suggest he should win three times.
He puts his theory to the test and starts with the first scratch card – and it turns out he’s lucky!

“I got 56…I won a tenner!
“I’ve been gassed… I can’t laugh because I thought it was £100,000 but I’ve already won against the first one!”
However, the next one isn’t as successful, with Josh saying: “The next number is 36… oh we got 37… 36 didn’t come.”
He explains how the next scratch card is slightly different, as Josh is not asked to find a bag, but to win double the prize money, rather than matching the same number.
The eagle-eyed social media user soon spots a bag with €5 written in it, which works out to a pretty impressive €10, bringing his total winnings to date to €20.
Despite not having any success on the next scratch card, he gets lucky again by winning another £10.
With only four left, Josh wins one last time, this being a respectable £5.
He concludes: “We’ve lost six and won four – let’s count the wins from the four we won.
“£35…so we are £15 less.”
Josh captioned the post: “Can’t believe how much I won.”
The video has since gone viral, racking up over 580,000 views and several comments from social media users.
“I don’t know why I’m so invested in this,” wrote one.
A second enthused: “WOAH!” followed by a love heart-eye emoji.
A third commented: “If you keep buying the same ones the chances are only 1/4 so buy 4 of each and buy different ones if that makes sense.”
