The show must go on! Actress Xóchitl Gomez suffered a painful injury during rehearsals Dancing with the stars.
The 17 year old Babysitters Club actress took TikTok to report that she sprained her ankle during a somersault, which was caught on camera.
In the clip, Gómez cartwheels at an awkward angle and lands painfully on her ankle.
“This shiii is BANANAS! 🙈😭🤪 I’m good! A small sprain but WE WORKED! #teamxv #dwts #teamyoungnstyle,” she captioned the clip.
In the comments section, Gómez revealed that she still plans to perform during Tuesday’s live show.
“It goes well!! I’ll be there tomorrow and we’ll dance! 🤑,” she wrote.
The Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness actress is currently linked to dance professional Val Chmerkovskiy.
Chmerkovskiy reposted Gómez’s video on his Instagram Story, writing, “Because it went very well,” with a crying emoji.
Gómez and Chmerkovskiy are one of the highest scoring couples of this season so far.
Prior to this injury, ET’s Denny Directo spoke with Chmerkovskiy about working with Gómez.
“I’m really proud of her. Even at a young age, she is very persistent and focused and yes, she works hard,” the seasoned professional said of the actress. “She gets hurt. She keeps going.”
Dancing with the star airs Tuesday, November 7 at 8pm ET live on ABC and Disney+. It will be available on Hulu the next day.
