Tennis star Carlos Alcaraz forced to flee from bees during professional match

Carlos Alcaraz's tennis game is as sweet as honey… and some bees clearly thought so too, as a huge swarm forced him off the court!

The second best men's player in the world took to the field on Thursday Alexander Zverev at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, but ended up dealing more with a cloud of dastardly drones as the match was tied 1-1.

Check out the video… Alcaraz simply tries to swat some pesky creatures out of his face before realizing that his bug problem is much bigger than he thought.

CA keeps a cool head for a while while the side official explains the situation to the audience… but the bees buzzing around his head prove to be too much for the Spanish star.

Carlos starts swinging his racket around wildly before running towards the tunnel, away from the court. He also pulled his shirt over his face to protect himself – and let's just say, it was quite a sight… like something out of 'Sleepy Hollow'.

Ultimately, it seems that Carlos suffered some damage from all of this; his agent says he was stabbed in the forehead during the fight, although it is unclear to what extent he was injured.

In the end, it looks like everyone finished relatively well… as the game continued just after 5pm PT, with Carlos battling through his injury – after a completely unprotected individual went around and sucked up the insect swarm on camera all by himself. . In bold!
