Ryan Seacrest is the king of juggling projects, and one of his biggest is his upcoming turn as co-host of next season Wheel of Fortuneto replace Pat Sajak.

Seacrest has already spent some quality time with his co-host, Vanna Whiteto know some important details about the Wheel of Fortune veteran.

“She's incredible. It was so much fun,” Seacrest told ET's Denny Directo of White on Monday night. live American Idol to withdraw. “I was with her a few days ago, so I know how she likes coffee. I know she's a Mr. Coffee machine used. I know some of her favorite music.”

And as Seacrest familiarizes himself with White's off-camera routine, he expects to get to know the TV legend even better once the cameras are rolling.

“We get a chance to get to know each other on camera,” he shares. “But we met over ten years ago, so it will be fun.”

Now that Sajak, who announced his retirement in June 2023, has filmed his final episode, Seacrest is gearing up to Wheel debut.

“As soon as I finish this season [of American Idol]we are going to start recording next fall,” he reveals.

Seacrest, who served as host Idol believes it has had a particularly strong bond with the current judges since its start in 2002.

“We all have a great relationship,” he says of himself and the judges Katya Perry, Lionel Richie And Luke Bryan. “It's very special at a big show, with everyone running in different directions to come together and create a family atmosphere.”

Seacrest adds Perry's impending departure from the music competition at the end of this season: “We're going to miss her. It won't be the same without her, but she'll be asked to keep the chair warm.”

Sajak announced his retirement last summer, calling the experience a “wild ride.” Seacrest was named as his replacement shortly afterwards.

“I am truly humbled to follow in the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak,” Seacrest said in part at the time. “I can say, along with the rest of America, that it has been a privilege and a pure joy to have Pat and Vanna on our television screens for forty years, making us smile every night and feel right at home with them.”

White attached she would continue in her role shortly afterwards, much to Seacrest's delight.

“I'm so excited! She is loved by this country, she is such an important part of the show. She has been for so many years,” said the media personality. told ET in September. “I am honored to be on stage with her soon.”

White also made a cameo Idol last week he helped Seacrest announce some finalists.
