UPDATE
7:25 PM PT — The president announced he is ordering the U.S. military to install a pier on the coast in Gaza that will allow a massive influx of aid to the Palestinians. He stressed that there will be no US troops on the ground in Gaza, and implored Israel to do more to allow the flow of humanitarian aid.
UPDATE
6:50 PM PT — Biden addressed the Supreme Court justices sitting at the front of the chamber directly, issuing what came across as a not-so-subtle threat regarding their overturning of Roe V. Wade — “With all due respect, justices, the women of America is not without electoral or political power. You're about to realize how wrong you are about that.”

Biden's clear hope… the line will upset women over the loss of reproductive rights to vote for him. He promised to restore Roe V. Wade if voters give Democrats control of the House of Representatives.
UPDATE
6:30 PM PT — The Prez didn't waste much time going after it Donald Trump …although he didn't say his name, just three minutes into the speech he started talking about Ukraine and the Russian president Vladimir Putin's invasion, saying, “Now my predecessor, a former Republican president, is telling Putin, 'Do whatever you want.' That's a quote.”

President Biden denounces Donald Trump's comment that Russia can do “anything they want” to NATO countries that don't pay their dues, calling it “outrageous, dangerous and unacceptable.”

UPDATE
The comment drew cheers from the Republican Party, but Biden continued: “I find bowing to a Russian leader outrageous, dangerous and unacceptable.”
President Biden is giving his third State of the Union address since taking office… and he has a lot to say about his campaign for a second term.
POTUS speaks to the nation from the Capitol, making his case for returning to the White House as voters prepare for his election rematch with Donald Trump.
While many people are concerned about Biden's age — he is 81 and Trump is 77 — the Prez says his age is actually a positive because it gives him a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Biden's prepared remarks have him saying, “My life has taught me to embrace freedom and democracy. A future based on the core values that have defined America: fairness, decency, dignity, equality. Respect everyone. Give everyone a fair chance. To not give hatred a safe haven. Now other people my age see a different story: an American story of resentment, revenge and retribution. I'm not that.'
Other topics Joe will likely cover… the war in Ukraine, Israel and Gaza, abortion, taxes, healthcare, immigration, inflation and prescription drug prices.
Biden is expected to highlight his achievements during his first three years in the White House, drawing a fine line between Republicans and himself… and possibly even taking some shots at the Republican Party.
JB has been working on his speech for a minute now, but tried to lighten the mood early Thursday by placing a Zoom call with several ex-presidents of TV and film.
No one seriously expects to borrow from him Bill Pullman's famous Independence Day speech.
SOTU addresses are always important because they're meant to address all the issues that impact Americans — but this one is even more important because this will likely be the largest audience Biden will have between now and Election Day.
Check back later in this post as we'll catch up on all the standout moments from his speech.
