'Oppenheimer' wins Best Picture at Oscars 2024

Oppenheimer has won the final prize of the awards season. During Sunday Academy Awards 2024, Christopher Nolan's film was announced as the best film of the year.

The film in which the leading role plays Cillian Murphy, Florence Pugh, Robert Downey Jr., Emily Blunt, Matt Damon and others, took home the trophies this year. It previously won top honors at the BAFTA Awards, the Critics Choice Movie Awards, the Golden Globe Awards and the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

As she accepted Sunday's honor, Emma Thomas, Nolan's wife and creative partner – who produced the film – thanked her family and everyone who worked on the film for their support.

“The reason this movie was the movie it was was Chris Nolan,” she said. “He's unique, he's brilliant.”

“I think anyone who makes films knows that you dream of this moment,” she added. “I could deny it, but I've been dreaming of this moment for so long.”

Oppenheimer defeated nine other nominees to take the honor, to defeat American fiction, Anatomy of a fall, Barbie, The survivors, Killers of the Flower Moon, Master, Past lives, Poor things And The zone of interest.

The Oppenheimer The cast and crew also won on Sunday. The film won seven Oscars, including Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Director and more.
