Chris Gauthier – known for shows such as 'Once Upon A Time' and 'Smallville' – has passed away. His office confirmed this in a statement.
The actor reportedly died suddenly on Friday after recently falling ill with TriStar Appearances/Event Horizon Talent and lamenting his loss TVLine.

Gauthier has appeared in a number of popular projects over the years, including 'A Series of Unfortunate Events', 'iZombie', 'Psych', 'Supernatural', 'Smallville', 'Watchmen', 'Agent Cody Banks', 'Little Man',” “Freddy vs. Jason” – and much more.
He was perhaps best known for his role in the science fiction program “Eureka,” playing Chef Vincent in 67 episodes, and later as Mr. Smee – Captain Hook's first mate in the ABC drama 'Once Upon A Time'. .”

In fact, his “OUAT” costar Colin O'Donoghuewho played Captain Hook on the series, also posted a touching tribute to Chris… saying he was always the real captain.
Chris is survived by his wife Erin and their two children.
