First responders rushing Matthew PerryNo illegal drugs were found in Saturday’s home, but new information from law enforcement sources indicated that numerous Rx drugs were found in the home.
Our law enforcement sources tell TMZ that authorities found antidepressants, anxiety medications and a COPD drug in the home. COPD is short for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease — that drug is often used for people with emphysema or chronic bronchitis. Matthew was a smoker during his lifetime. The LA County Coroner will conduct a toxicology test to determine if there were drugs in Perry’s system, but that could take months.
TMZ broke the story… Matthew was found unconscious in his jacuzzi on Saturday afternoon after playing pickleball for 2 hours at Riviera, near his home in Pacific Palisades.
Sources tell TMZ … Perry was in “good spirits” during the match. He was a pickleball fanatic…he even created a pickleball altar in his house.
After the pickleball game, we’re told he had his assistant pick up a new iPhone and a pair of prescription glasses for him, which the assistant did. Two hours later, the assistant returned to Perry’s home and found him unresponsive in the jacuzzi and called 911.
Our sources say that after the deputy called 911, he called Perry’s mother and a sibling, along with an unrelated woman.
Perry was 54.
