Dak Prescott claims a woman is threatening to go public with false sexual assault allegations against him if he doesn't pay her $100 million… and now he's suing in an attempt to put an end to it.
The Dallas Cowboys superstar filed the lawsuit in Collin County, Texas on Monday… claiming the woman: Victoria Coastsdetailed its extortion plan in a letter to him and his representatives on February 13.
Prescott claims that Shores alleged in her letter that he assaulted her in February 2017, just after his rookie season with the Cowboys ended. He said in the lawsuit that if he paid her $100 million, she would keep quiet about it.
However, the quarterback's lawyers emphatically said in the lawsuit on Monday: “Mr. Prescott has never engaged in non-consensual sexual conduct with anyone.”
In fact, they wrote, “the timeline of events and [Shores’] actions in the years since the alleged attack are consistent with our involvement only in consensual actions of Mr. Prescott.”
“The fact that Mr. Prescott heard nothing negative about this alleged interaction nearly a decade ago really speaks to Shores' motives.”
Prescott is now suing the woman and her attorneys for libel, slander, civil extortion/coercion and more.
Prescott's lawyer, Levi McCathernwrote in a statement to TMZ Sports on Monday evening: “Lies hurt. Especially malicious lies. We will not allow the defendant and her legal team to profit from this attempt to extort millions from Mr. Prescott.”
McCathern added that the 30-year-old signal caller – who just had his first childa girl, last month – went to authorities to report Shores' “criminal actions.”
