Cocoa Brown is the latest person to be overwhelmed by Tyler Perry's generosity – because he just offered her almost half a million dollars for a new house after hers burned down.
The actress tells TMZ that she is filled with deep gratitude for TP's support and that of everyone else who donated to her GFM campaign. She has a lot to be thankful for… because Tyler has contributed a whopping $400,000 to her cause.
Cocoa adds that she has been on an emotional rollercoaster, noting the devastation as she watched her house go up in flames on Sunday, as she felt and tried to ensure her son phoenix was safe and sound.
But the comedian – known for 'For Better or Worse', among a range of other films and TV shows – reiterated that she and her son have been deeply moved by the outpouring of support they have received.
It's not just Tyler who has been helped, by the way, she's also received other donations Tiffany Haddish, Marlon Wayan, Byron Allen, Sherri Shepherd, The podcast team of “The Breakfast Club”, and countless other friends, family and fans. They all gave quite generous amounts.
Cocoa made sure to send a special shout-out to Pastor Marking and the entire congregation of McDonough Rd Baptist Church, who she says did everything for her.
Despite the devastation of losing her home, Cocoa tells us that “having each other, our fur babies, and seeing and feeling all this love has strengthened our love for each other and humanity.”
The support is clearly visible at Cocoa's GoFundMe page launched by her loved ones, which has surpassed its goal of $50,000 and counting. She is now on her way to $70,000 in donations.

TMZ broke the story… flames engulfed Cocoa's entire property in Fayetteville, Georgia, with sources telling us she thinks it was probably caused by a lit candle falling into some clothes in the house. So far, it looks like she'll be back on her feet in no time.
