Christina Aguilera rang in her birthday with some of the most special people in her life – including her 9-year-old daughter, Summer Rain.
The pop icon was surprised on her special day with lots of pink balloons, silver streams and hugs from her little girl.
Aguilera shared a video montage of the special festivities, in which she and her little girl posted some balloon letters that read “Happy BDay” set up in a Las Vegas hotel room.
The birthday girl was then led to a theater room – presumably the venue at The Venetian, where she will be soon kicks off her residency show in Las Vegas – and was treated to a feast of cake and macaroons, hosted by a host of dancers.
“Thank you for all the birthday wishes,” the singer captioned the celebratory post. “Sending love from Vegas.”
In August, Aguilera celebrated Summer’s ninth birthday by sharing several photos of Summer on stage during a show.
“Happy 9th birthday to our sweet Summer Rain,” the “Genie In A Bottle” singer captioned the post. “Today I think about how quickly time has flown. These nine years have been filled with boundless love, heartwarming hugs, staying up late, Disney adventures and most recently the joy of being on stage next to you.”
In most of the photos, Summer wore black shorts and a black T-shirt that looked like concert merchandise, with a photo of Aguilera on the front. The final photo of the gallery showed her behind a drum set in a white T-shirt.
“Every day I thank the universe for giving me the privilege of being your mother, a role that is my ultimate achievement,” Aguilera wrote. “Witnessing the remarkable young woman you are evolving into fills me with immense pride. Mommy loves you so much!”
Aguilera shares the summer with her fiancé, Matt Rutler. After nearly four years of dating, Aguilera and Rutler got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2014 and welcomed a baby girl, Summer Rain Rutler, later that year. Summer is the first child for Rutler, although Aguilera shares 15-year-old son Max Liron with her ex-husband, music producer Jordan Bratman.
