Anshu Jain, a titan of the world of banking and best known for his tenure at Deutsche Bank has died aged 59, five years after a diagnosis of duodenal cancer.
“Through a combination of exhaustive personal research, tactical skill, amazing caregivers, and sheer force of will” he had survived four years longer than expected after his diagnosis in January 2017, his family said, according to Bloomberg.
While he was president of the American money broking business Cantor Fitzgerald at the time of his death, the Indian-born Jain made his reputation at Deutsche Bank after a career on Wall Street and the City.
