Big Fang Collective secures £5.5 million funding for further expansion across the UK

Big Fang Collective (BFC), the experiential leisure operator, has secured £5.5 million in growth capital to support plans for further expansion in the UK.

Founded in 2016 by Kip Piper and Dan Bolger, the company has grown from the original Ghetto Golf experience at Cains Brewery, Liverpool, into a multi-venue business with six indoor locations across the UK, currently employing over 260 people .

Each of their locations in Liverpool, Birmingham, Newcastle, Sheffield, Glasgow and Cardiff offers a combination of crazy golf, bespoke art, DJs and signature cocktails in a cathedral of graffiti.

The group has expanded its proposition and now brings together several concepts under one roof; including in-house pizzeria Nothing Cheezy and Big Fang Karaoke, an immersive karaoke destination, both of which launched in Liverpool in 2023.

Following the additional £5.5 million funding from ThinCats, BFC has plans to target cities across the UK, with several new venue launches already planned.

Big Fang Collective commented: “After a successful year in 2023, including the launch of our all-new Big Fang Karaoke concept and first in-house food brand, Nothing Cheezy, we are excited to further accelerate our venue growth plans with the support of ThinCats and our investors, IMBIBA.

“We have now signed Heads of Terms in three major cities and a strong pipeline for the coming year. Now that we have the right people, assets and financing in place, we are ready to make 2024 our best year yet.”
