Recent research from Deloitte paints a picture of a UK start-up scene that is growing and decentralising, particularly within the fintech sector.
The Deloitte National Connectivity Chapter found that a third of all fintech startups are located outside the capital, as venture capital firms turn their attention to cities with high talent levels and low costs of living.
The research also shows that Britain continues to create global category-defining fintechs, particularly in the areas of wealth technology and payments.
With experts predicting that the fintech industry will create up to 50,000 jobs over the next three years, those looking to stay ahead of the competition are now moving into specialized growth areas.
