Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has warned that Britain's multi-ethnic and multi-faith democracy is being “deliberately undermined” by “forces here at home who are trying to tear us apart”.
The Prime Minister made the comments in a statement issued outside 10 Downing Street on Friday evening.
“Let us prove these extremists wrong, and show that even if we disagree, we will never be separated from our common values of decency and respect.”
“I love this country,” he said, before asking people to “stand together” and “fight the forces of division.”
