Hundreds of people have been evacuated from their homes after a major incident was reported following a massive fire in central Liverpool.
Firefighters were called to a fire at a four-storey warehouse on an industrial estate shortly after 2pm on Saturday.
As the building showed signs of collapse, nearby houses and other buildings were evacuated, according to the Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service.
Smoke could be seen billowing into the sky from across the city and as far away as the Wirral, almost eight miles away.
