A constable is to face a prison investigation for assault over an assault which noticed a person kicked and stamped on at Manchester Airport, the police watchdog has stated.
The Impartial Workplace for Police Conduct (IOPC) stated it was arranging to interview the Better Manchester Police officer below prison warning “as quickly as attainable” over the alleged assault on Tuesday.
The officer was suspended by the pressure on Thursday, after footage of a confrontation between police and two males inside Terminal 2 was extensively shared on social media.
The IOPC’s Catherine Bates stated she had met with “one of many males who was concerned and his members of the family” and could be chatting with the opposite man as quickly as attainable.
