29-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was shot and killed in west London.
Police arrived at the scene shortly after 2am on Sunday following reports of a shooting on Kensington High Street.
Officers searched the area and found a man – believed to be in his 30s – with gunshot wounds.
They provided emergency first aid until paramedics and an air ambulance arrived.
The man was taken to a central London hospital where he sadly died shortly after 5.30am.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers. A post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
Homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command have launched an investigation. The 29-year-old who was arrested, remains in custody.
