Boris Johnson has only had two holidays this year, a senior Tory MP has said in defence of the prime minister’s spending this week in Greece.
Brandon Lewis insisted that the prime minister was continuing to work despite flying off for another holiday only a week after returning from a spa in Slovenia.
Johnson is planning to spend his final fortnight in No 10 trying to secure his legacy with a series of visits and speeches aiming to ensure that his successor continues with his priorities, such as levelling up and supporting Ukraine.
