A FLIGHT attendant has revealed how to have as many drinks as you want during a flight – but there is a catch.
Brits often buy boozy drinks on their flights to celebrate their holiday.
However, with flight attendants keen to keep the peace on their planes by making sure their passengers stay sober, it can be difficult to know how many drinks it is acceptable to have.
Luckily a flight attendant has revealed how many drinks you’re allowed to order each time to keep both you and them happy.
In a post on Reddit, cabin crew members invited questions from the general public, asking if there was anything they wanted to know.
One asked: “Is it acceptable to ask for multiple cans of soda/wine/spirits at one time?
“On a busy flight, I accept it takes time to get around to all the passengers, but then I drink my soda or wine in about 2 minutes and I become sad.”
The response revealed that it is fine to ask for multiple drinks at a time – but you can forget it if you want lots that are alcoholic.
If they are boozy drinks, then unfortunately there is a one at a time policy on board the plane.
The flight attendant said: “2 Cans of soda are totally fine and it’s ok to ask.
“Alcohol is a different story though since its hard to keep track who had how much so it’s one drink at a time only.”
Make sure you aren’t drinking your own alcohol either – the government banned passengers from drinking duty-free booze on flights back in 2019.
Large bottles have to remain sealed in their duty-free bags, along with their receipts.
Passengers can take up to 5l of alcohol with them which was purchased at Duty-Free, which is between 24 per cent and 70 per cent alcohol volume.
And it is illegal to be drunk on a flight, Sun Online Travel previously reported, with cabin crew allowed to ban passengers from being served alcohol if they believe they are inebriated.
The rules are in place due to an ongoing problem with drunk passengers causing problems during the flight, many of which cause them to be diverted.
Last month, a drunk Ryanair passenger was marched off a plane and put in handcuffs after he was caught vaping on a flight to Ibiza.
And a drunk passenger was booted off a Ryanair flight after being “too excited” for his first holiday in 11 years.
