He wrote on Cornwall Live that he did what every “sane Cornish person avoids” which is visiting the tourist spots during what they all “silly season”.

He said the trouble started when arriving at Mevagissey, a small fishing village.

He warned: “The trouble came on arriving in Meva – the main car park on Valley Road was full and as a result cars were queuing on the road into the village.”

Not only were there queues, but most of the overspill car parks are full by lunchtime.

He also said that while it was great to have independent shops, don’t expect to enjoy them without spending the cash.

Some of the “shocking” prices included a £12.50 crab sandwich, and a small fish and chips for nearly a tenner.

And he added: “Unsurprisingly, it was almost impossible to get into the popular dining spots.”

Despite the busy roads and restaurants, he admitted that tourists were giving the economy a “huge lift” and enjoyed seeing all kinds of tourists from Europe, Australia and the US there.

However, he admitted: “I probably won’t take them back to the village until October.”

One woman was left stunned by VERY rude tourists she encountered on holiday in Cornwall – and many have said it’s become worse since Covid.

The tourist, who lives in Devon, said she spent a “few days” in Cornwall – but shared some of her horror stories over the couple of days she was on holiday.

Last summer, tourists complained Cornwall was “too noisy and busy” while one woman said she ended her holiday early because too many restaurants and pubs were closed or booked up.

Another tourist slammed the beaches for having too much seaweed.

Brits on holiday in Cornwall were recently warned by emergency services after huge crowds have caused problems for them.

The RNLI has warned visitors to St Ives that the crowds have made it hard for them to respond to emergencies.

While he said it was nice to see tourists, he also said to expect pricey food and booked up restaurants
