How we expect Arsenal to line up against Liverpool today

The left-back was absent from training on Wednesday and was also omitted from the squad for Thursday’s 3-0 win over Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League. Kieran Tierney started that game at Emirates Stadium and was taken off with 20 minutes to go.

Asked for team news on Friday, Mikel Arteta said: “We will have more tomorrow. We have another training session and we will know more tomorrow.”

Zinchenko has previously struggled with a knee issue this season and his absence would mean Tierney starting against Liverpool.

Other than that, Arteta is likely to revert back to the team that beat Tottenham in the north London derby last weekend after making eight changes for Thursday’s win over Bodo. Emile Smith Rowe and Mohamed Elneny remain sidelined, however.

Predicted Arsenal XI (4-3-3): Ramsdale; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Tierney; Odegaard, Partey, Xhaka; Saka, Jesus, Martinelli.
