Lotto reveals where life-changing €1m tickets were sold as players urged to check slips

A LIFE-CHANGING Lotto ticket worth £1million was sold at a Wexford store, bosses have revealed.

The lucky punter bagged the huge prize during the special Lotto Plus Raffle event last night.

The Sunny South East player purchased his winning Quick Pick ticket from Wallace Costcutters in Wellingtonbridge, Co. on Friday, February 2. Wexford.

The Lotto Plus Raffle normally sees between 60 and 120 winners of €500 per draw, but in last night’s draw one player enjoyed an even bigger windfall thanks to a special lottery event.

Each of the tickets with the winning Lotto Plus Raffle number drawn in the draw was entered into a one-off random draw where one ticket was selected to win an additional €1 million prize.

While each ticket holder with the winning ticket number won €500, one player won €1 million, in addition to the usual prize of €500.

The winning lottery number was: 1273.

As well as the Wexford winner, who has now clinched the title of fourth National Lottery millionaire of the year so far, an online player in Wicklow celebrated after matching five numbers and the bonus in the main draw, winning €53,638 won.

The winning numbers in the Lotto draw on Saturday February 3 were: 02, 12, 20, 24, 36, 45 and the bonus was 23.

The National Lottery has confirmed that a notification and email has been sent to the Wicklow winner’s online account.

The top two winners of Saturday night’s draw are advised to contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email [email protected]. Arrangements will then be made for them to collect their prizes.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “Saturday evening’s Lotto and Lotto Plus draws saw more than 92,000 players win prizes across the country.

“This includes a Wexford player who won the life-changing sum of €1 million in a special Lotto Plus Raffle event that guaranteed one player would win that huge sum in addition to the usual €500 Raffle prize.

“We are advising all our players in the Wellingtonbridge area of ​​Wexford to check their tickets carefully today as one player now has a ticket worth €1,000,500.

“The winner must sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe.

“Once the winning ticket holder contacts our prize claims team, we will ensure they can visit Lotto Headquarters to collect their prize.

“And of course that wasn’t our only big winner in Saturday night’s draw.

“An online player in Wicklow matched five numbers and the bonus in the main draw and won €53,638.

“A notification and email has been sent to the winner, who should also contact our prize claims team.”

Meanwhile, a lucky punter who won €14.6 million in the Lotto jackpot on Saturday has contacted Lotto bosses to collect their winnings.

The winning Dublin ticket holder became the 7e biggest Lotto jackpot winner in history after purchasing their ticket online.

The winning numbers for the main lotto draw were 3, 8, 10, 24, 32 and 41. The bonus ball was 30.

The top prize had risen to a staggering amount after not having been won since October.

The €14.6 million jackpot was the highest ever online jackpot winner and the biggest win in more than two years.

Players in Clondalkin, Dublin, are also being encouraged to check their tickets very carefully today after a Southside player won an incredible €226,373 in Wednesday’s draw.

The player matched five numbers and the bonus after purchasing his winning Quick Pick ticket on the day of the draw from Tuthills Newsagents in the Mill Shopping Center in Dublin 22.

The winning numbers in the draw on Wednesday January 31 were: 10, 14, 21, 28, 42, 46 and the bonus was 02.
