Lotto bosses urge Dublin punters to check tickets as two scoop HUGE prizes

LOTTO bosses have urged punters in the capital to check their tickets after last night’s draw saw two lucky players nab thousands.

One managed to score a life-changing €500,000 in the EuroMillions draw whilst another bagged an impressive €193,667.

The biggest win of the night was the EuroMillions Plus top prize win worth €500,000 which was sold as a Quick Pick ticket at the Student Union shop on the Trinity College Campus in Dublin.

Owner of the Student Union store in Trinity College, Patrick Pierce was overjoyed to hear the news that his store sold the winning EuroMillions ticket which will make one customer half a million richer.

He said: “Just wow! It’s absolutely crazy to imagine somebody popping into the shop yesterday and they are now a half million euro richer for it today.

“The shop has been going in the college for 30 years. We of course have a lot of students and college staff members from the campus in our store each and every day.

“In addition, we also have a lot of tourists coming and going all of the time but whoever the winner is, I’m sure that €500,000 will make a huge difference to them and their families.

“We’re absolutely thrilled for them.”

And another Dublin player will be celebrating a good start to their weekend after they matched five numbers and one lucky star in the main EuroMillions draw to scoop a prize of €193,667.

The winning Quick Pick ticket was sold at the Circle K Westway service station on the Kylemore Road in Dublin 12.

The winning numbers in last night’s main EuroMillions draw were: 07, 12, 13, 20, 45 and the Lucky Stars were 03, 12.

The winning numbers for last night’s EuroMillions Plus draw were: 13, 28, 34, 38, 41.

There was one UK winner of the EuroMillions jackpot worth an eye-watering €128million.

Both Dublin winners are advised to sign the back of their winning tickets and to keep it safe.

The ticket holders should make contact with the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email [email protected] and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prize.

Meanwhile, a lucky EuroMillions player has told how she lost a winning Plus ticket worth €500,000 for a FULL week.

Nuala Croke, from Wexford, bought the quick pick slip in Corrigan’s Spar Supermarket, Main Street, Oulert, Gorey on August 19.
