LOTTO bosses have revealed the stores where two lucky tickets worth €54,583 each were sold.

The Cork and Galway punters took the money after matching five numbers and the bonus during the midweek draw.

The National Lottery is calling on people to check their tickets

The Rebel County winner purchased their Normal Play ticket on the day of the drawing at Centra on Main Street in Buttevant.

And the Galway winner bought his Quick Pick ticket, also on the day of the draw, from Henchy’s Daybreak at 38 Eyre Square.

The winning numbers in the draw on Wednesday January 10 were: 02, 08, 12, 26, 44, 45 and the bonus was 24.

The winners, who now have tickets worth €54,583 each, are advised to sign the back of their tickets and contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims @lottery.ie. Arrangements will then be made for both winners to collect the money. their prizes in Lotto HQ.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “Wednesday’s Lotto draw saw more than 91,000 players across the country win prizes in the Lotto and Lotto Plus games, including two players in Cork and Galway who won €54,583 each.

“Both players had five numbers and the bonus in the main draw to become the biggest winners of the evening.

“We urge all our players in Cork and Galway to check their tickets carefully today as two players had a Wednesday night to remember.

“The winners must contact our prize claims team who will arrange for them to visit the Winners Room at Lotto Headquarters and cash their winning checks.

“Meanwhile, there was no winner of the €12,015,337 jackpot offered in Wednesday evening’s draw, and the Lotto jackpot will be an estimated €12.5 million on Saturday evening.

“For players dreaming of becoming the first Lotto jackpot winner of 2024, tickets can be purchased nationwide in store, via the National Lottery app or at www.lottery.ie before the sales cut-off time on Saturday evening at 7:45 p.m..”

In total, more than 91,000 players won prizes in the Lotto and Lotto Plus games, including 14 winners of €2,100.

There was no winner of the Lotto Plus jackpot, which was worth a whopping €1,000,000.

However, 14 players matched four numbers and the bonus ball and won €500 each.

Meanwhile, the National Lottery has issued an urgent warning to players to check their tickets carefully after winning a life-changing €1 million prize last month.

A lucky Lusk winner managed to scoop the incredible prize in the Lotto Plus draw on December 23.

It was purchased at the Applegreen Roundtower service station.

The staff were thrilled when they heard that one of their customers had won the huge €1 million prize.

And the winning lottery numbers on Saturday December 23 were: 9, 6, 5 and 2.

The successful player from Dublin won the big sum in a special event that saw the Lotto Plus Raffle prize money increased by €1 million for the December 23 draw.

The Lotto Plus Raffle usually sees between 60 and 120 winners of €500 per draw, but in the Christmas Eve draw, only one player from Dublin managed an even bigger win thanks to the special lottery event.
